Today the Mauthausen Memorial is an international place of remembrance.
During the Nazi era, Mauthausen was the largest German concentration camp on Austrian territory. It can still be visited today as a memorial to darker times and the fate that met around 200,000 imprisoned on a tour with audio guides.
